Hello, there! Let's go over to my desk, put our feet up and have a cup of coffee. As you can see, my assistant and I have had a very busy morning "in Court", but it's time to take a break and enjoy the background music that's playing here and relax a bit. Feel free to
        sing along!

You may be wondering what counsel to the Midi Studio does but, unfortunately, I can't discuss that subject(if the boss should find out the truth I might never see another fee!). Let's just say my function is somewhat akin to Linus's blanket! Aside from my serious responsibilities here(Yeh, right!) I devote a lot of time to admiring the work of the midi pros who have studios at the Consortium and of our talented guest artists, and just wandering around the building to see what's going on.

After 15 years apart, the five members of my favorite rock group, Fleetwood Mac, who together recorded some of the best selling albums of the late 70's and early 80's, got back together in the Fall of 1998 and made a triumphal reunion tour covering some 40-odd cities(For those of you who don't know, the five are Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, and their best known albums are "Fleetwood Mac", "Rumours", "Tango in the Night", "Tusk" and "Mirage"). The reunion tour commenced with a television concert called, "The Dance", which is now available on CD from your favorite music source.

Some time ago I replaced my Fleetwood Mac juke box with something special. My dear friend and fellow inhabitant of the Consortium, Chris Schafehen, and I have collaborated on a web site featuring Chris's magnificent sequences of some of Fleetwood Mac's hits(plus a couple of Stevie's for good measure). When you're ready to leave my office click on the image below which will take you to this site. We hope you will enjoy our offering as much as we did creating it. Chris tells me that he will be adding midis to the site from time to time(as long as I can find pictures to go with them!) so please check back occasionly.

I've been a student of the American Civil War for many years, and I've recently completed a draftFrancis Channing Barlow of a biography of one of the leading generals of the Union Army of the Potomac, Major General Francis Channing Barlow( CLICK HERE if you'd like to visit a web site I maintain for General Barlow). In the course of my internet research I've found a number of midi sequences of songs from that era which you can listen to by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
