... AND THE RUNNER-UPS

ORCHESTRAL THE ODYSSEY GM 8:57 129 K

"This song tells the tale of The Odyssey.   In this song I tried to picture the drama, the romance, the adventure and even some of the more comic experiences of Odysseus's long journey to get home to his wife Penelope.  From drunk cyclopses to angry gods, Odysseus cunningly battles his way through strange unknown lands.  Odysseus's and Penelope's themes are the most prominent -- Odysseus's majestic yet saddened theme is supported by Penelope's innocent and beautiful theme -- with sounds of the seashore in the background as they look out to the horizon with hope, with despair.  You'll really have to use you imagination to understand everything happening behind the music."
